RINGER formwork solutions are also proving their worth in northern Europe.
Formwork solutions from Austria were required as part of the implementation of a newly developed solution for the production of high-quality fish. The floating concrete barges are being built along the west coast of Norway on behalf of the company Dokk Husøy. Each of the 40x20 meter facilities offers 600 tons of feed capacity, divided into eight silos and a central multiple feeding system. Numerous plants will be built over a period of 5 years.
The floating fish farms were formed using the RINGER Master PRO wall formwork, that can be operated from one side and Concreting Platform L. The Master PRO was chosen because of its impressive overall performance package. The system impresses with extremely fast forming and stripping times, which significantly accelerate the construction process. The quick adjustability of the wall thickness and the small number of anchors required (4 per main element) reduce the number of manual operations required to a minimum. Furthermore, the high robustness and the maximum concrete pressure load of 80 kN/m² were convincing.
