82 rental flats are currently being built in an excellent location in the centre of Vöcklabruck. These are each equipped with balconies and loggias or terraces on the top floor. The complex, which consists of three buildings, has its own underground car park, which is accessible by lift. The entire project (1. + 2. construction phase) is scheduled to be handed over to the new residents in summer 2024.

EW-Bau GmbH from Vöcklabruck has been commissioned with the construction of the project. Various formwork and safety systems from RINGER played a central role in the realisation.

Highest formworking speed in the tightest of spaces

Due to the limited space on the construction site, it was necessary to erect sheet pile walls along the edge of the building. As a solution for the confined space, which was only 25 cm in places, the Master PRO formwork system was used for concreting the walls. As the anchoring work can be carried out completely from one side, it is not necessary for workers to be on the positioning side of the formwork.

This single-sided operable steel frame formwork with large-format panels (300 x 240 cm) and only 4 ties per main panel enabled extremely efficient handling of the construction site, resulting in considerable cost savings for the project.

Slab formwork with gradient

The challenge when forming the underground car park slab with a concreting section of approx. 400 m² was to implement the specified gradient of 2.5 per cent. EW-Bau GmbH opted for AluDEK, which is considered as one of the fastest slab formworks on the market. This modular slab formwork is characterised by its low weight and can be easily assembled from the ground by just two workers. Thanks to the minimal number of individual parts and the large-format formwork elements, the formwork work could be completed quickly and easily. In addition, the square grid of AluDEK provides an aesthetically pleasing concrete surface.

A ceiling thickness of 50 cm was planned for the underground car park in the area of the apartment blocks above. This required additional support with H20 beams. For this purpose, H20 suspension brackets for AluDEK were suspended in the functional profiles and H20 beams were inserted at an angle of 45° to the panel grid at intervals of 2.25 m and supported with 20 kN props.

Safety solutions

Proven fall protection systems were used to ensure the necessary safety on the construction site. Both guardrail clamps and concreting platforms helped to create a safe working environment and effectively minimise the risk of potential hazards and accidents.

Ringer's speedy-scaffolding was installed for the subsequent facade work.
