ST2000 Push and Pull Props Concreting Platform

The Pontus Rotana Resort & Spa, a luxurious five-star hotel, is being built in the scenic coastal town of Gonio, known for its breathtaking landscape and historical sites. This construction project skillfully combines traditional Georgian architecture with state-of-the-art comfort. The resort, built in skeleton construction, extends over an area of 4.5 hectares directly on the coastline and offers its guests 600 exclusive rooms with fantastic views. In addition to its own casino and first-class gastronomy, the hotel has an extensively equipped spa, direct access to a private stretch of beach and a wide range of leisure activities.

For the shell construction of the hotel complex, the contractor LLC Geverse Construction relied on formwork technologies from RINGER, in particular the ST2000 wall formwork. This system is known for its resilience and versatility and supports efficient work even under demanding conditions.

The ST2000 wall formwork, which can be used efficiently as both crane and manual formwork, was used in both ways for this project. It can be easily carried from one place to another, which increases flexibility on site and further speeds up the construction process. Its ease of handling also results in significant time and cost savings, while quality and safety remain at the highest level. As the ST2000 is also available in 3 meter high elements, this formwork was perfect for efficiently forming the required room height.

Columns and lift shafts with robust steel frame formwork

An essential part of the construction project are the lift shafts, which form the heart of the resort's vertical transportation system. The robust ST2000 steel frame formwork was used for their construction.

Thanks to its high degree of flexibility, this formwork solution enabled particularly fast assembly and dismantling, which significantly accelerated the construction process and reduced overall costs.

The load-bearing columns of the multi-storey building were also erected using the ST2000. RINGER Push-Pull Props were used for precise alignment of the individual formwork elements. For the concreting work, concreting platforms were mounted directly and securely to the formwork using scaffolding brackets.

The Pontus Rotana Resort & Spa, located on the Black Sea, is scheduled to open in 2026.
