An exciting in-house project by Dipl. Ing. Wilhelm Sedlak GmbH and Sedlak Immobilien GmbH is unfolding in Klederinger Strasse, Vienna-Schwechat. The construction project extends over a total of five storeys and comprises 34 high-quality condominiums. The project features an urban gardening concept, with each flat owner having their own garden area. A modern underground car park offers future residents 60 parking spaces.

RINGER rental park

The shell construction, planned with a construction time of 7 months, benefited enormously from the complete equipment of formwork and accessories from the RINGER rental park. By renting instead of buying, there is no need to purchase additional formwork elements, while customised solutions enable efficient and cost-effective working methods.

Access to modern and regularly tested equipment, combined with professional advice from RINGER's construction site experts, ensures safe and effective construction practices. The rapid availability of equipment and savings on storage and maintenance costs make the RINGER rental park an important and timely resource for construction companies of all sizes.

"Thanks to the one-sided operability of the Master PRO formwork, we were able to realise the construction site with ease despite the limited space."

Slab formwork with system family - DEKplus and AluDEK

For the slab formwork, Sedlak GmbH chose the new slab formwork system family from RINGER, consisting of the large-area DEKplus slab tables and the handy AluDEK modular elements. These two systems, which are 100% compatible, enabled efficient working thanks to their flexibility and led to impressively fast shuttering times. The DEKplus slab tables were positioned precisely using a crane and then set up manually. This slab formwork proved to be the most suitable solution, especially for the more massive and large-area intercepting slabs.

The handy AluDEK elements were used in the angled standard storeys. AluDEK infill beams were used for residual areas, e.g. in the area of columns or for sloping courses. These were simply placed on the AluDEK heads and covered with formwork panels. The perfect interaction of all the formwork components enabled a very fast formwork process. Site manager Florian Krammer particularly emphasises the efficient planning of the slab formwork. The perfectly coordinated elements of the DEKplus and AluDEK system family contributed significantly to an extremely efficient working method.

initially created using a specially manufactured coffin lid construction made from formwork panels. Once this had been completed, semi-finished parts were installed and concreted.

The slab formwork was supported by galvanised 20kN floor props for the AluDEK formwork and 30kN floor props for each DEKplus slab table element. When stripping the formwork, the work was made considerably easier by the use of the DEKmobil high-lift truck. This device fits effortlessly between the floor props and offers the option of travelling across if required.

Alu Master as lightweight and stable column formwork

The planned columns for the construction project were erected using Alu Master wall formwork. A frame element of this formwork system consists of dimensionally stable and torsion-resistant aluminium hollow-chamber profiles. The low weight and practical carrying handles enable particularly fast and safe working without a crane. The column formwork was then set up and secured with size 1 pull props.

Wall formwork system - Master Pro

In order to be able to concrete efficiently along the site boundary, the Master PRO steel frame formwork, which can be operated from one side, was required. The individual elements were set up and fixed in place using RINGER size M brace frames.

All other walls in the condominiums were also formed using the Master PRO system. Thanks to the reduced time required due to the one-sided operation and the large formwork area per tie, the labour costs can be significantly reduced with this system. Master PRO is also perfect for use with exposed concrete thanks to the small number of tie positions. The system only requires 2 tie rows per 3m formwork height. Size 1 push-pull props were used for fixing. Concreting platforms "L" and RINGER 3-S platforms provided the necessary safety and comfort during work.

The entire residential complex is scheduled for completion in autumn 2024.
