Modern training centre built with RINGER formwork
The new BMW Talent Campus is being built on the site of a former multi-storey car park on Riesenfeldstrasse in the north-east of the BMW Group's main plant in Munich. The ultra-modern training centre will be a central location for the training and further education of around 40,000 BMW Group employees, including 900 apprentices. In addition to workshops and training rooms, the campus offers a company restaurant, a café open to the public and newly designed green areas that create space for dialogue and relaxation.
The construction work on the Talent Campus was realised by SWIETELSKY Baugesellschaft m. b. H.. In order to ensure rapid construction progress and maximum safety on the construction site, high-performance formwork and flexible scaffolding from RINGER were used for the shell construction.
Efficient formwork solutions for maximum construction speed
Slab formwork with system combination
The slab in the second basement was formed over an area of 1,500 m² using the RINGER Slab Table. This system offered a decisive advantage thanks to its prefabricated units with fold-down floor props, as no pre-assembly was necessary. The formwork could be positioned quickly and safely thanks to the use of a crane fork and DEKmobil. Even challenging slab bends, such as low points and high points, were easily realised with the RINGER Slab Table.
In addition, 790 m² of Flex Slab Formwork was used. This highly flexible system impressed with its adaptability and the small number of individual parts. With elements such as H20 beams, 3S formwork panels and floor props, varying floor heights of up to 4.8 metres and floor thicknesses of 25 to 30 centimetres could be precisely implemented. The ability to flexibly position yoke and cross beams allowed efficient customisation to the conditions on site.
The outer walls along the sheet pile walls were formed with Steel Master.
Large area elements (330 x 270 cm) were predominantly used in this area, which ensured a fast shuttering time. The load-bearing walls inside the building project were also constructed using Steel Master. RINGER push-pull props ensured reliable fixing and precise alignment of this formwork system.
Thanks to a load-bearing capacity of up to 80 kN/m² fresh concrete pressure, the Steel Master is a versatile and robust solution for a wide range of requirements. In addition, horizontal Steel Master panels measuring 270 x 45 cm were used as formwork for the slab grid.
RINGER stairway towers provided safe and reliable access to hard-to-reach areas.
The flexibly configurable modular scaffolding and the double railing scaffolding stair tower impressed with their quick assembly and minimal time required, which meant that work routes could be organised efficiently.
The hot-dip galvanised Side Protection Grid from RINGER ensured reliable fall protection during the entire construction phase.
Their robust yet lightweight construction combined with sophisticated handling enabled quick and uncomplicated installation.
This ensured standard-compliant protection (EN 13374 class ‘A’), which optimally supported both the safety of the workers and the efficiency of the construction processes.
A central component of the planning for the entire project was the shoring of the beams for the slab formwork in an area with an exceptional shoring height.
In this special section with a slab area of 570 m² and a slab height of 6.5 metres, load-bearing scaffolding was used as a high-performance support system. The robust steel frames, designed for high load-bearing capacity, ensured the necessary stability but also flexibility for efficient and safe realisation of the work.
