Tschulique puts practicality into focus
Julia Schäfer, better known as Tschulique, is widely recognised as a content creator with a clear-eyed view of what really matters on construction sites. In Unteröwisheim, Germany, she is building her own industrial unit with an office on the upper floor, a project in which the systems used must prove their worth in the structural work.
With a floor area of 21 x 16 metres and a floor-to-ceiling height of 5.5 metres on the ground floor, the new building presented several challenges: ensuring safe working at height, installing safety scaffolding around the perimeter, and finding a cost-effective solution for the ceiling and the projecting section.

This is how the height, overhang and side protection were implemented during the structural work
Required was not only the right material, but a well-thought-out overall concept combining planning, formwork and scaffolding, which took the structural requirements into account at an early stage and ensured a high degree of flexibility for last-minute adjustments.
Sicher arbeiten in 5,5 m Höhe
Für die Anforderungen dieses Projekts kam ein verzinktes Doppelgeländer Gerüst DG65 mit deutscher DIBt Zulassung mit vier Etagen als umlaufendes Schutzgerüst zum Einsatz.
Gerade bei der Geschoßhöhe von 5,5 Metern im Erdgeschoss schuf es die notwendige Sicherheit an der Gebäudeaußenkante und die Voraussetzung für einen geordneten Arbeitsablauf in den höherliegenden Bereichen. Durch die wenigen, einfachen Bauteile konnten die ca. 500m² Fassadengerüst in wenigen Stunden aufgebaut werden.
Suitable formwork table solution for ceiling projection
The DEKplus ceiling table was used for the ceiling projection on the ground floor. Both table sizes were used: 5.40 x 2.25 m (12.15 m²) and 5.40 x 1.80 m (9.72 m²) in combination with 20 kN props with a height of 700 mm. This allowed the overhang to be created using a table solution suited to the structural conditions and implemented efficiently at the same time.
Side protection attached directly to the formwork table
In addition, the DEKsafe side protection grid was attached directly to the formwork table using the DEKplus guardrail shoe. Thanks to its lightweight construction, ease of use and quick installation without the need for special tools, DEKsafe supports safe and efficient working on the construction site. The integrated foot guard provides additional protection.
Flexible slab formwork with AluDEK
The slab formwork was constructed using 1.35/1.35 m AluDEK elements in combination with 135/90 mm and 135/45 mm panels. Thanks to its low weight and ease of handling, the modular ceiling formwork not only ensured high formwork speed but also allowed for last-minute changes to wall installations. The system was supported by 20 kN ceiling props in the 550 mm version.
