Double Railing Scaffolding

In order to modernize the building, which was built in 1895 and bring it up to the latest energy standards, extensive renovation measures were carried out with an investment volume of 5.4 million euros. The focus of the renovation work was on the roof and the entire building facade. Not only was insulation carried out here, but high-quality windows were also installed to increase energy efficiency.

Sophisticated scaffolding solution for smooth work

The extensive renovation work required careful planning and the use of an efficient scaffolding system. G-Team Gerüstverleih GmbH used around 2,457 m² of galvanized RINGER Double Railing Scaffolding for the work on the façade and roof. A total of 8 scaffolding levels were required to completely scaffold the 3-storey building. This façade scaffolding enabled protected access to the working areas and contributed significantly to the efficient and safe execution of the work.

The foot guardrails required for the necessary side protection were individually printed with the G-Team logo by RINGER. A particular strength of the double railing scaffolding is the quick-locking system invented by RINGER, which speeds up assembly and eliminates the need for unnecessary, easily lost small parts. This was crucial in order to implement the project quickly despite a very tight schedule.

"With the RINGER double railing scaffolding, we have the perfect system solution for projects like this. Fast, flexible and safe!"

Florian Gaupmann, Managing Director G-TEAM Gerüstverleih GmbH

The steeply sloping terrain was compensated with adjustable base plates and in some cases in combination with an additional one-third frame. Even corners and projections are no problem for the RINGER double guardrail scaffolding thanks to its variable components. These were formed quickly and easily with graduated panel lengths, cross connectors and clamps. Different element lengths, such as 0.72 m or 2.0 m, were also available to compensate for the length.

Safe access is also essential when working at this height. The use of RINGER aluminum platforms with hatch and ladder made it easy to change levels and ensured the necessary work safety at all times. Due to the cornice on the building, it was necessary to widen the scaffolding with 30 mm brackets and corresponding decking panels. To ensure safe access for people in the building during the renovation work, a protection scaffolding was installed over the entrance area.

Maximum safety during roof work

During the roof work, the safety of the workers was ensured with the RINGER Sloping-rooftop fall barrier, which served as reliable fall protection. This system not only offers a high level of protection, but can also be flexibly extended.

The Sloping-rooftop fall barrier was erected on the facade scaffolding and consists of just three main elements: Brackets (0.60m), railing (2.00m) and safety nets, which serve to protect people from dangerous falls as well as from potentially falling objects such as building rubble, tools or equipment.

The scaffolding was used for the facade and roof work for a total of 8 months.
