In the heart of Munich’s creative quarter, a new cultural venue is taking shape in the listed Tonnenhalle, which dates from 1926. It is a new building within the existing industrial hall, featuring a large theatre auditorium, studios, production offices and a catering area.

Florian Emmerz, site manager at PROBAT Bau AG, talks about the particular challenges of this extraordinary construction project and the collaboration with RINGER, which has now been ongoing for around three years at the Kreativpark construction site in Munich.

Alu Master Wall Formwork

The unique design of the historic hall also makes site logistics challenging: the existing arched beams severely restrict the use of cranes in many areas. This is precisely where the RINGER Alu Master comes into its own.

Thanks to their low weight, the formwork elements can also be transported and moved by hand – a crucial advantage for ensuring rapid construction progress in confined conditions.
